Five Autumn Cake Ideas
The colors of autumn are all beautiful, the oranges, golds, reds, and browns, –all a rich tapestry, and chocolate is just one of the great ways to accentuate a fall cake. Your wedding cake does not have to be white! Unless you’re insisting on the same old white cake that everyone else is having, it’s time to break out of the traditional, and into the original. Consider some of these ideas for your fall wedding cake.
1. Incorporating The Fall Colors Into Your Cake - Fall colors are gorgeous, –but bringing them into your food might seem like a trial and error task. Trust me, it’s possible. You can bring fruits in, for reds, berries, apples, crumbles of chocolate, tiny pumpkins, orange peel spirals, dried apricots, and a number of other healthy, and beautiful pieces of edible autumn cake decorations.
2. Decorate With Some Of Our Fine Handmade Chocolates - You can add some of our delicious handmade chocolates to your cake, for a burst of dark or milk chocolate favor. For a more seasonal approach, try pumpkin spice cake, with cinnamon sprinkled white frosting; or a nutty carrot cake, with mocha and vanilla ripple frosting.
4. Fall Foliage In Your Cake - The bright colors of autumn foliage are so beautiful, and it’s hard not to want to just stick them all over your wedding cake. Talk to the bakery handling your cake, and ask for edible sugar fall leaf decorations, –frosting leaves are bulky, and prone to collapse, as well as careful dissection before the guests eat them.
5. Go Gold! - If all else fails, gold is still a fall color, and it looks beautiful in a cake. Edible gold leaf it gorgeous, and it can be used to decorate easily. Try ivy patterns, or cornucopia style designs, for a beautiful and priceless cake for your special day.
